The WASConsole runs on the ND box.

During a deployment, the WASConsole places the application temporally into 

$ND_HOME/wstemp
while it updates the repository. Once the Repository is updated, the wstemp is deleted.

ND/WASConsole JVM Size and Crashes

There are known issues with setting the JVM size for the Deployment Managet too high (ie. it crashes). Recommendation is to set it to min: 256mb max:512mb.
